Anjelika Rijvers | |
 Anjelika was born in The Netherlands and embarked upon her artistic training at the tender age of two and a half, with the help of an abundance of coloring pencils and crayons she saw fit to decorate and embellish the walls and tables of her parent's home much to their alarm. Deciding that some conventional education was essential Anjelika went away to study fine art and design where without further ado and goading, sparked her insatiable love for illustration, sculpture, and performance art. Anjelika's vigorous globe-trotting to far-flung locations such as the Gobi Desert in Mongolia, swimming with piranhas in the Pantanal (really!) as well as a marine biology expedition to the volatile region of the North Pole have given her a unique insight into mysterious and variant cultures that have become an inspiration for her art work and the launch of her company JELIMATION. Anjelika now resides in a vociferous and colorful city called New York that she feels she owes much of her creative energy and inspiration to. Anjelika's credits include on-camera and voice over work for television, her sculptures and art work can be seen exhibited in various locations (please email to find out more about Anjelika's exhibition dates), designing characters and costumes for Randy Carfagno Productions that include work for Disney Royal Caribbean Cruises, The Lion King, and Macy's Christmas Parade. Anjelika has also worked as a children's TV performer, established and directed a touring theatrical company and workshop, as well as designing for a medley of NYC theaters. Not being one to sit back and take it easy, Anjelika also creates fantastical party crackers as table decorations and party favors as well as quirky fibrous jewelry - you can find samples of her elegant and whimsical creations under Jeli’s Krackers and Jeli's Gems on this site.
